Wail Balkhair

Wail Balkhair is Executive Director of Asset Management at New Murabba, building the team that will run Riyadh's new downtown around the Mukaab. His remit covers property, facilities, community and security, keeping its streets and public spaces safe, well run and full of life from day one.

In 27+ years, he has made places come alive. As CEO of SAHAT and CCO of Jabal Omar in Makkah, he ran 180,000 sqm of retail serving millions of pilgrims and opened the Al Khalil Courtyard by the Grand Mosque in four months. At PIF's Gulf Coast Development, he built its Al-Khafji operations.

He began in Jeddah, taking Al Mahmal Center to 100% occupancy and earning recognition from the Governor of Jeddah for its role in the Historic Jeddah Festival. An engineer by training, he brings an operator's view of what keeps public space alive: management, programming and community.
