Michaela Briggs

Michaela Briggs leads UN-Habitat’s largest programme in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, advancing spatial planning reform at a national scale. Her work sits at the intersection of urban development, government, policy and investment.

Previously, Michaela served as Principal Planning Advisor to the Lord Mayor of Sydney and led major urban transformation initiatives at Western Sydney University, one of Western Sydney’s largest landholders.

Bringing an international perspective and deep expertise in city-shaping, Michaela moderates conversations that connect policy, development and investment with the ambition to create better cities and places.
