Lara Habib

Lara began her career as a research analyst at BLOM Bank before joining CNBC Arabiya as a business presenter. In 2006, she moved to Al Arabiya, presenting and producing Aswaq Al-Kuwait while covering financial markets and key economic developments.

Since 2008, Lara has anchored Aswaq Al-Arabiya, covering regional and global markets. She has reported from Davos, IMF–World Bank meetings, G20 and FII, moderated high-level panels, and produced documentaries with the World Economic Forum on the future of work and manufacturing.

Lara has interviewed many of the world’s most influential business and policy leaders, including PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan, ECB President Christine Lagarde, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, as well as numerous ministers and central bank governors. She holds an MBA from LAU.
