Ilia Sotonin

Ilia Sotonin is the founder of Unitify, a platform for communities people own and live in: homeowner associations, condominiums and housing associations. It brings billing, resident requests, documents and building hardware into one place for residents and for whoever runs the building.

He did not start in software. He founded and ran a residential management company serving around 20,000 residents, then built the product his own operation needed. That product grew into a platform used across an entire national housing market before he exited it.

Unitify is live in Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Latvia. In one Batumi building of about 500 apartments, monthly collection rose from 40% to 80% in six months with no new penalties, simply by moving payment to where residents already were.
