Hon. Michael Sukkar

The Hon Michael Sukkar is a former Australian federal Member of Parliament and lawyer. During his time in Parliament, Michael served as a Minister in a range of critical portfolios, including as the Minister for Housing and Assistant Treasurer.

As the Minister for Housing, Michael introduced a range of enduring programs to support the housing sector and improve home ownership rates. These included incentives for first home buyers and stimulus to support the residential construction sector.

He is now a Chairman, Non-Executive Director and Adviser to a range of global and Australian businesses, including some of Australia's largest residential property builders and developers. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra, in the Faculty of Business, Government & Law.
