Tak is a founder and executive managing director at Smart City Institute Japan and Senior Managing Executive Officer at Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting.

Concurrently, Tak serves as a professor at Keio University Graduate School of Policy and Media Governance, Kyoto University Graduate School of Management.

Additionally, Tak served as a member of Regulatory Reform Promotion Council under the Cabinet Office of Japan, Cross-Ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program, and a number of other national councils.
