Thomaz Ramalho
As Director of Planning at IPPUC, Thomaz Ramalho is leading the revision of Curitiba's Master Plan and the Curitiba 2050 Sustainable Development Vision, shaping the future of one of the world's most internationally recognised models for sustainable urban planning.
Prior to this role, he led and advised urban development, housing and sustainable development programmes across more than 15 countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe, working with organisations including UN-Habitat, UNOPS, UNDP, GIZ, C40 and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Ramalho has also contributed to numerous internationally recognised publications and policy frameworks, including Our City Plans, the New Urban Agenda Illustrated, the City Resilience Action Planning Tool, Brazil's Urban Planning Guide, Cabo Verde's National Urban Policy, and the Bissau 2030 and Príncipe 2030 Sustainable Development Plans.
