Thomaz Ramalho is an architect and urban planner, Master in Urban Planning, Programme Management and International Cooperation.
He is currently the Director of Planning of IPPUC and coordinator of the 3rd revision of
Curitiba´s Master Plan.
He has coordinated and developed housing and sustainable urban development programmes and projects in Angola, Brazil, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Ethiopia, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé & Príncipe while working in UN-Habitat, UNOPS, UNDP and GIZ.
He is co-author of many UN publications, such as Our City Plans, Participatory Incremental Urban Plannig, City Resilience Action Planning tool, How to formulate a NUP: a practical guide, Guide for revision and elaboration of Master Plans, etc.
