Simon Gathercole

Simon Gathercole, Partner at Allies and Morrison since 2015, is an architect and
masterplanner. He has been leading major projects in Arabia for over 15 years, including 3 years in Doha for the delivery of the Msheireb Downtown Doha project.

Having developed design guidelines for Makkah, AlUla and Al Balad, Simon’s team have been working closely with DASC to support the creation and implementation of the Saudi Architecture Characters Map and Guidelines.

Allies and Morrison recently opened a studio within the Al Balad UNESCO WHS in Jeddah, where Simon is leading the practice’s regeneration work. The studio now supports sustainable architecture, heritage and landscape design across the region.
