Matteo Zanchi

Matteo Zanchi is CEO of ENERSEM, a Politecnico di Milano deep-tech spin-off for decarbonization. Graduating cum laude with 20+ years in energy efficiency, he leads business growth. ENERSEM combines ML, IoT, and predictive control to optimize complex energy assets and drive data-driven efficiency.

Matteo has a rich background in applied research. As a Research Fellow at Politecnico di Milano (2011–2016), he led energy audits for Vodafone, Carlsberg, and Polimi. He also advised the university's Energy Commission on its district heating network and coordinated heat pump monitoring projects.

Matteo brings vast experience in public sector and global energy consulting. As Energy Manager for Lodi (2006–2011), he led RE and retrofit projects. He has also advised the European Commission as indipendent expert and supported renewable initiatives in North Africa with MEDREC in Tunisia.
