Eng. Kamal Bin Ahmed

Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed is CEO of Retal, leading its strategic direction and growth. He brings extensive leadership experience across economic development, infrastructure and energy, with a career spanning executive leadership and public-sector decision-making.

Before joining Retal, he served as President of Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority. He previously served for over a decade as Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, overseeing major policies and projects across transport infrastructure, telecommunications and postal services.

He also served as Minister of Cabinet Affairs and spent eight years at Bahrain’s Economic Development Board in senior executive roles. He has held board leadership positions across major institutions and holds an MSc in International Project Management and a BSc in Civil Engineering.
