Dr. Randa Mahmoud

Randa A. Mahmoud is Dean of the College of Architecture and Design at Prince Sultan University. She holds a PhD from the Institut d’Urbanisme de Paris and became Professor of Environmental Planning at Ain Shams University in 2023.

Her professional journey includes serving as Senior Architect and Urban Planner at DAR and as Head of Architecture at the French University of Egypt. She also coordinated a dual diploma program with INSA Strasbourg, fostering academic collaboration.

In 2013, Randa was nominated for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the Beit Al Rawi housing project. Her research spans urban resilience, vernacular design, gentrification, and climate-responsive architecture, with international publications.
