Dr. Prof. Derek Woodgate

An ex-UK diplomat, Derek is an award-winning experimental futurist who created a unique learning system, and founded The Futures Lab, Inc., in 1996. Derek holds Dr. Philos. in Engineering and Sciences and authors books on future societies.

His foresight work focuses on impact of, multimedia, culture and future technologies on transformative societies, security and smart cities, human development, knowledge systems, transdisciplinary education, intelligent environments the workplace.

An expert in foresight for governments, regional and city clients, including ministries of the interior, education, transportation, urban development & construction. His academic work involves developing transformative education & training programs.
