Dr. Abdulelah Habib is the Founder of OptimalPV, a Saudi startup spun out of research from KACST, pioneering solar design automation and digital twin technology. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on renewable grid integration.
Dr. Habib served as VP of Digital Engineering at PIF, GM for Energy at SDAIA, and Director of the Smart City Institute at KACST/MIT. His leadership spans giga-projects, AI-driven energy solutions, and international research collaborations.
At OptimalPV, he leads innovation in AI-powered solar automation and BIPV technologies, driving the localization of advanced renewable energy solutions. He is passionate about building sustainable cities and supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030
