Dr Wei Yang OBE is Chair of Wei Yang & Partners and CEO of the Digital Task Force for Planning. She chairs the UK Construction Industry Council and is a member of the UK Government’s New Towns Taskforce.
She is a globally renowned town planner and urban designer, recognised for establishing the 21st Century Garden City model and pioneering a digitally empowered, whole-systems approach to spatial planning.
She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, Past President (2021) of the Royal Town Planning Institute, and Honorary Professor at UCL. She was awarded an OBE in the 2025 King’s New Year Honours for services to town planning.
