Shireen is currently a Lecturer at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business where she teaches a course on the Future of Cities. Previously, she was Head of Social Impact at Nextdoor as well as the Chief Innovation Officer of the City of San Jose.

Shireen has been instrumental in expanding digital access to underrepresented groups around the world and expanding innovative technology initiatives to modernize city services - from autonomous vehicles to AI and privacy audits.

Shireen received numerous awards for her work. She holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an M.P.A in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.S. and B.A. with honors from the University of Pennsylvania.
