Paulo Martins Barata is Founding Partner of PROMONTORIO Architects, a thirty-four year experience practice of seventy architects, planners, landscape architects, interior designers and graphic designers, based in Lisbon and Doha, since 1990.

Paulo was Cass Gilbert Visiting Faculty at the Minnesota U., visiting critic at Texas U. and guest critic at USI Accademia di Architettura Mendrisio, in Switzerland.  In Graz, from 2003-2011, he was a member of the European Cultural Parliament.
