Nicholas Maclean, OBE RD, is Senior Vice President and Fellow of RICS. He is a General Practice Chartered Surveyor and, for 19 years, served as Chair and MD of CBRE MENA. He is also the Scottish Government’s Trade & Investment Envoy to the UAE.
Nicholas also chaired the Levitt Report and served as interim Chair of the RICS Governing Council. He represented the MEA region on the RICS Council for 3 years. Additionally, he is an APC counsellor and assessor, advancing professional standards.
Nicholas was awarded an OBE in the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours for his contributions to trade and bilateral relations. This prestigious recognition reflects his efforts in fostering international trade and strengthening diplomatic ties.
