Mauricio is Founding Partner at Zacua Ventures, a global, early stage VC fund focused in the Built Environment. The fund is investing in the most promising techs across the construction value chain, in the areas of Sustainability and Productivity.

Prior to launching the fund, Mauricio has set up and led the investment team of CEMEX Ventures, one of the pioneer funds in the construction industry, launched in 2017. Over his investment career, he's made over 40 investments and 3 successful exits.

His expertise comes from a combination of construction, having worked at job-sites for 5 years, an MBA title from IE business School, and operation experience, launching 2 startups and one CVC.
