From 1999 to 2000 H.E. Dr. Violeta Bulc was the Vice President of Telemach Ltd, a major telecommunications provider, and from 2000 to 2014 the CEO of Vibacom Ltd, Sustainable Strategies and Innovation Ecosystems.

After holding a post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia responsible for development, strategic projects and cohesion, H.E. Bulc received the nomination for the Transport and Mobility Commissioner post at the European Commission (2014 – 2019).

As commissioner, Bulc prioritized digitalisation, decarbonisation and innovation in the transport sector. She is also a current #G100 Global Chair for the Women World Economic Forum, member of the board of Joint European Disruptive Initiative (JEDI) and is the curator of Ecocivilisation initiative.
