Dr. Tonio Fenech

A Certified Public Accountant, Mr Fenech was with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Consultant before entering politics, 1998-2003 was Mayor of Birkirkara Malta’s largest city. Elected to the Malta Parliament in 2003, appointed State Secretary for Finance in 2004 and 2008 as Minister for Finance and Economy until 2012. During this time, he was a member of the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council and the Eurogroup upon adoption of the Euro. Presently an Executive Director of Timan Investments Holdings Ltd a real estate private equity firm and Chairman of Von der Heyden Group Finance plc. Held various non-executive directorships on funds, asset management companies and banks.
