Dan has been working in sustainable development as a Director at the Useful Simple Trust. He specialises in innovation in areas like carbon reduction, water management, circular economy, user centred design, green infrastructure and social value.

Dan was a sustainability advisor to the Mayor of London, and helps deliver major programmes like high speed rail, new metro, and zero carbon heat and power projects as part of a regenerative approach to city development.

He is currently looking at ways to extract heat from data centres, rivers and sewers to provide mixed use districts including hospitals with low carbon heat. He is supporting districts chart routes to zero carbon development.
