Elephants tools for analysing building costs, area efficiency and CO2 emissions inform and guide designers. Allowing them to arrive at better and sometimes surprising solutions.
One of Berend's missions is to improve and expand on these tools. AI and generative algorithms should have a role in this.
Berend has worked together with developers and other stakeholders on many designs, ranging from large scale urban developments to small family homes. Scripting and parametric design are always an essential part of the workflow.
