Daithí de Róiste is a dedicated public servant and community advocate, who served as the 355th Lord Mayor of Dublin. A graduate of University College Dublin, he holds a BA in History and a Master’s in Public Affairs.

Elected to Dublin City Council in 2014 and re-elected in 2019, he played a key role in the budget subcommittee, overseeing a substantial budget of €1.4 billion, and contributed to the finance and planning strategic policy committees.

As Lord Mayor, he championed initiatives for Dublin to become the first capital city designated as autism-friendly. Throughout his term, he has promoted kindness, seeking to foster a more inclusive and compassionate city for all its residents.
