Ian Flanagan

Ian was appointed CEO of Munster Rugby in 2019 and oversaw Munster’s first trophy success in 12 years, winning the United Rugby Championship in 2023. Prior to this Ian was Global Head of Football at Treble and consulted on sports asset investment.

He was commercial director at Leicester City FC, during which time the club won the Championship and the Premier League title. He was also a member of the Premier League commercial rights advisory board.

As senior consultant to DHL, he advised on the company’s global sports sponsorship strategy. He created and negotiated the first ever stand-alone training kit partnership in the English Premier League, between DHL and Manchester United in 2011.
