Colin Smith, a global leader in the world of sport, took over as Director General of the International Skating Union in October 2023 bringing with him a profound wealth of experience with over 30 years in the global sport industry.
Colin’s track record managing largescale sports events includes positions at FIFA as Chief Tournaments & Events Officer, Managing Director Qatar 2022 & COO of the FIFA World Cup 2015-2023 where he successfully executed all FIFA tournaments & events.
Prior to his tenure at FIFA, Colin held senior leadership roles in prominent sports organizations such as the Pro League Committee in the UAE, the European PGA Tour, & UEFA. Originally from the UK & Ireland, Colin currently resides in Switzerland.
