Dr. Alison Gilliland

Dr Gilliland has a background in education, trade unionism, equality and politics at local and European level. A former member of the European Committee of the Regions a delegate to COP27 and COP28 she is now a European Climate Pact Ambassador.Having represented the City of Dublin as a local Councillor, Chairperson of the Dublin City Council Strategic Policy Committee for Housing and Community and Lord Mayor, Alison is passionate about sustainable city living and well-being.Alison believes that change offers many more opportunities that challenges. She has worked to promote climate and community friendly housing regeneration, gender equality and currently works in preventative healthcare in the construction industry.
